Mrs. Maness is originally from Metairie, Louisiana but grew up in Lilburn, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA in 2004 with a BSEd in Early Childhood Education. After graduation, Mrs. Maness moved to Austin, Texas where she taught PreK for two years. In November 2006, Mrs. Maness moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and began teaching fourth grade. Mrs. Maness married her husband Wade in October 2008 and gave birth to their first child, a daughter named Bailey, in December 2011. During the summer of 2014, Mrs. Maness graduated with a Master's degree in Instructional Design and Development from the University of South Alabama and moved back to Texas. She lives with her husband, daughter, and Wally (the dog) in Hutto. She is super excited to be a part of the Hippo Nation!!!
